She was a child performer and became famous for her role in the role of Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate was a highly successful actor and producer in the TV and film. She received the Primetime Emmy Award, seven nominations, and nominations for four Golden Globe Awards as well as an Tony Award. Applegate was a star in the lead role in the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) and brought her an Golden Globe Award nomination. For her role as an actress on the NBC sitcom Friends the show, she won a Primetime Emmy Award. In the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity (2005), she was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Applegate then went on to play in the ABC sitcom Samantha Who? She was later seen in the sitcom Samantha who on ABC (2007-2009) and for which she received two Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award; the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2012); and the Netflix drama series Dead to Me (2019-2022) where she was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
