Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jamesenez on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her professional career began in Mexico with leading roles in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she won an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood by appearing in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also wrote and directed, produced by Hayek, made Hayek the first Mexican actor to win the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on making films while also playing in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
