He was often criticized at school. Being known as a Spider-Man enthusiast, he referred to himself as the Spider-Man's alter-ego, Peter Parker. After attending several different schools, such as Priory Preparatory School and City of London Freemen's School He was a student at the Central School of Speech and Drama and the University of London where he was awarded his degree in 2004. He began his interest in acting following the realization that he wasn't keen on studying business any more. His acting career started in 2005 when he appeared in the British Television show "Sugar Rush". He plays his debut lead role two years later on "Boy A" as a troubled kid trying to restart after an experience in prison. He was also in "The Social Network," as the main character before appearing in the movie "The Incredible Spider-Man." With the ability to take on a variety of roles, he was cast as the leading actor in the historic production "Silence" in the year 2016. The actor won numerous awards like his BAFTA Award, Tony Award in addition to an A.A.C.T.A. Award for "Best Actor following his performance in "Hacksaw Ridge." Along with the awards he received, he also won numerous Oscar nominations as well as the chance to perform with actors such as Sam Worthington, Campbell Scott as well as the first Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire.
