Bellamy Young

Young began her professional career in the field of acting the theater. In 1997 she had her Broadway debut as Mary in the original The Life cast. The Life. The show was performed Off Broadway as a character in Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily We Let's Roll (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust, (1995-1996). The actress made her debut on television in 1995 when she landed her role as Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap production Another World. The actress was on Law & Order as a guest on two episodes in 1997 as well as in 1998. The film debut came in 1999 with a minor role in Black and White. In subsequent years, she was featured in several independent movies. At the start of 2000, she started appearing as guest-star roles on a number of comedies and television dramas like The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Young is a regular on more than 30 television shows from 2000 and 2011. As of 2003, Young appeared as part of the USA Network show Peacemakers. After a total of nine episodes, a season, the series ended up being cancelled. It was her turn as a character in the Lifetime show For the People, a legal drama. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC the period drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003. She also appeared on the NBC soap opera Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004, as an Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and also on ABC primetime soap show Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) in the role of Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
