Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding born on December 30, 1986, in Hereford, England) is a English singer-songwriter. The infectious electronic music of Ellie Goulding quickly propelled her to the top charts once she drew the attention of the general public in the year 2010. She was able to do this with the singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack for composing catchy yet emotionally earnest songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of the current mainstream and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogs to print media, receiving the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records offered her a deal as an important label. She started to plan for the release.
